Richard John McDermott II, age 66, of Pulaski passed away unexpectedly along with his wife Annmarie on Saturday, June 10, 2023.


He was born July 18, 1956 in Lake Hurst, NJ, to the late Richard I and Inez McDermott. He worked at Novelis for many years retiring in April, where he has since worked as a contractor part time. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent much of his time fighting for many different hunting rights in NY. He founded The New York Crossbow Coalition, attending many shows and trips to Albany for the cause. He was also involved in many clubs and organizations that he was very passionate about. He was most proud of his family, including his 3 children and 2 grandchildren. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it.


Surviving are his three children, Megan (Eric) Burch of Canandaigua, Valerie (Troy) Bulluck of Pulaski, and Thomas (Allie) McDermott of West Monroe. His two grandchildren Brayleigh and Mason Bulluck. Three sisters, Sandra (Thomas) Crandall, Barbara (James) Lavoie and Francis (Thomas) Wheat. Four Sisters-in-law, Cindy Lewis, Therese Castner, Bonnie Golden and Lisa Castner. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is predeceased in death by his parents Richard I. and Inez McDermott.


Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 2983 W. Main Street, Parish, NY. A Celebration of Life will follow for immediate family and close friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in their honor to benefit their grandchildren (present and future) for their education. Contributions can be made to their children in the form of a check. A donation will also be made to The New York Crossbow Coalition by his children in his honor.

Annmarie Christine McDermott of Pulaski NY, age 62, passed away unexpectedly along with her husband Richard on Saturday June 10, 2023.


She was born September 19, 1960 in Rochester, NY to the late Donald Sr. and Joan Castner. Annmarie worked for the APW school district for many years. She enjoyed all of her time with the kids and meeting some of her best friends there. Nothing meant more to her than her family, including her 3 children and 2 grandchildren. She never missed an event that included anything with her kids. If you needed someone or help with anything, she was always a phone call away.
